Abstract
Metals constitute fundamental components of matter and the human environment. Although numerous metals are essential for biological life, elements such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic represent significant health risks, even in low concentrations. This article examines the significance of metallic elements, the differentiation between essential and toxic metals, and the adverse effects resulting from prolonged exposure. Furthermore, it highlights the necessity of accessible information for implementing behavioral changes to mitigate exposure and safeguard public health.
